China’s Dongfeng unveils a Tesla Cybertruck copycat that produces 1,305 HP

From the moment it was revealed, it was very obvious that someone would try to make a Tesla Cybertruck copycat vehicle.

Finally, that moment has come as Dongfeng, one of China’s biggest automakers revealed its new concept truck at Beijing Auto Show.

And it bears a striking resemblance to a certain American EV pickup truck.

The Chinese Cybertruck copycat is based on a Dongfeng skateboard EV platform.

However, the most interesting thing is that the Cybertruck copycat truck produces a ridiculous 1,305 hp.

It is even more powerful than the high-end flagship CyberBeast model, which produces 845 hp with an all-wheel drive.

Called the Concept Pickup Truck, it is clear that Dongfeng has taken inspiration from the Tesla Cybertruck.

It even features a rear-mounted tent, just like the Tesla Cybertruck.

Comparing the concept vehicle to Tesla’s EV truck, it has softer edges and doesn’t feature a stainless steel body.

Due to the lack of a stainless steel body, at least owners won’t have to worry about the car rusting.

The Cybertruck copycat also features an LED light bar display up front, which can be configured to display various images.

Unlike its American counterpart, the Dongfeng EV truck boasts suicide doors like a luxury car.

Even the interior of the Dongfeng EV truck is rather interesting as it features a display that spans the width of the cabin.

It also has a square-shaped steering wheel and seats with forged carbon fiber on the backrests.

Dongfeng is not a stranger when it comes to taking inspiration from other automobile manufacturers, as seen from its blatant Hummer EV copycat.

However, we have seen a lot of Chinese rip-off cars, but the Cybertruck copycat isn’t as blatant.

Despite being very similar to the Cybertruck, it also offers some additional luxury features to the buying public.
