KinectAir has gone viral for offering outrageously cheap private plane flights.

But the deal comes with a catch.

The airline is indeed making flying private way more accessible to regular people.

The internet has been blowing up with talk of tickets costing $111, but this is proving too good to be true.

Kinectair has been described as Uber for private jets.

This is true in a way, but also a bit misleading.

Besides being unaffordable to anyone who isn’t a celebrity, flying private is a complicated process.

Just to search for flights, you’ll have to register and pay a membership fee to a charter company.

The company will then need to follow up with you – a process that can take a while.

KinectAir, however, is eliminating the fuss and making this process more accessible.

Now, anyone can book an open-leg flight or private charter through their website.

In theory, the tickets could cost $111 per person.

It’s actually not possible to sell individual seats on charter planes.

This practice would lead to a lot of complications and put many airlines out of business.

So while KinectAir shows you the cost per seat while browsing through their private flights, there is a catch: you’ll have to buy all the seats.

This makes the service ideal for getaways with a group of friends or family.

The company allows you to book a plane that needs to travel between two cities.

It’s cheap because the plane was flying there anyway.

“Sometimes aircraft fly home empty after dropping off passengers,” KinectAir says.

“If your travel plans are flexible, you can hop on and save big.”

They use piston engine charters which are cheaper and less luxurious than a private jet, but still more glamorous than a regular plane.

Because the charter is on someone else’s schedule, you’ll need to be flexible if you want to book a journey through KinectAir.

The person chartering the plane could change their mind or their itinerary, which could impact your trip.

Booking is simple: just go onto their site and browse through upcoming journeys.

Flights are only posted a few days before departure, but you can sign up to get notifications for specific routes.

While it’s not quite as easy or cheap as calling an Uber, it’s still a more affordable way to travel like the rich and famous do.
