A Tesla owner from Germany was left speechless after trying FSD – full self-driving – for the first time.

This Tesla enthusiast was given the chance to try FSD by TechGeek Tesla, an FSD beta tester, and his reaction was absolutely priceless.

Tesla has been ramping up efforts to scale deliveries of vehicles equipped with FSD, full self-driving with no manual interaction at all.

In a leaked internal email that surfaced a few months ago, Elon Musk told everybody at Tesla they’d now have to give every potential new customer a supervised demo of FSD during the test drive.

This is because – according to Musk – the best way to market this particular feature is to actually show what it can do.

The thing is, for regulatory reasons, FSD is currently not available in most markets, including Europe.

So that means that FSD is totally new to this Tesla owner from Germany.

A fellow Tesla owner and self-proclaimed FSD beta tester who goes by TechGeek Tesla on X gave him the opportunity to see what FSD can do, and his reaction speaks louder than words.

Musk is heavily invested in autonomy.

So heavily that he actually told investors ‘don’t invest in Tesla if you think we can’t solve autonomy’ during the Q1 earnings call.

This is in line with a point Musk has made time and again, as he believes that Tesla shouldn’t be regarded as an automaker, it should considered a robotics and autonomy tech company that also makes cars.

This also explains why both Tesla, through its official accounts on X, and Musk himself have recently been constantly sharing progress made by Optimus, the humanoid robot Tesla produces.

First, Tesla showed us how Optimus can walk around the factory, which was not particularly shocking, to be fair.

But then Tesla showed a video of Optimus handling some eggs, which was a bit more impressive and, quite frankly, hilarious.

The robots are coming, but they’re coming to make us breakfast.
