Things you can expect to find in a chicken barn – chickens, hens, possibly eggs.
Things you generally don’t expect to find – some classic American cars, including a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette.
How did it even end up here?
Maybe a chicken won the lottery and decided to show off with a nice vintage car?
More realistically, somebody probably parked it there for whatever reason, then forgot all about it for decades.
And we said ‘decades’, not ‘years’, because it’s clear that this car has been sitting here for a while.
As we can see from the video uploaded by YouTuber DontbeWily, the Chevy Corvette is in a really bad shape.
The body panels are made of a combination of rust and dust at this point.
The good news – if you want to look for a silver lining – is that everything is still where it should be, including the V8 in the hood.
This image may have made us cry, but the bad news is the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is just the tip of the iceberg – there’s more.
The ‘chicken barn collection’ also includes a bunch of other vintage Ford and Chevrolet vehicles, including a Chevy Chevelle Malibu, a Pontiac LeMans and a Buick Skylark.
There are some tractors and trucks as well.
We are aware that – in theory – anything can be restored.
We’ve seen it happen before, with Rolls-Royce cars from nearly 100 years ago or even rare sportscars with unusual powertrains such as the Mazda RX-7, which as most people know uses a rotary engine.
But bringing this Chevy back to life is going to take some talent, patience, and time.
And a lot of cash, too.
