From the EB 110 to the Veyron and of course the Bugatti Chiron, the brand’s back catalog is impressive to say the least.
The Type 57 SC Atlantic is another model that stands out, famous the world over for its technical sophistication, stunning design and aluminum bodywork.
So it’s only fitting that, now nearly 90 years old, Bugatti has paid tribute to the very first Type 57 SC Atlantic with this – the Chiron Super Sport ‘57 One of One’.

In true Bugatti fashion, the story behind this particular hypercar is beautifully bonkers.
Its owner saw a Type 57 SC Atlantic 20 years ago and understandably, fell in love with it.
So, for her 70th birthday, her husband treated her to a Chiron Super Sport – as you do – with an invitation to Molsheim to spec it however she wished.
After eyeing a scale model of the very first Atlantic at the factory, she decided her 70th birthday Super Sport was going to celebrate the Type 57.
For starters, it’s finished in the same color used on the Atlantic, with the paint also being used for the Super Sport’s wheels.
Then there’s the grille, reminiscent of the Atlantic’s horseshoe, complete with polished vertical lines and a thicker central spine.
Underneath the rear wing is a hand-drawn sketch of the Atlantic, which is repeated inside with gorgeous contrast stitching.
Speaking of which, the interior of the Chiron Super Sport ‘57 One of One’ is decked out in ‘Gaucho’ leather with Lightning Blue accents and additional ’57 One of One’ details.
The headrests are embroidered with the ‘Dancing Elephant’ sculpture by Rembrandt Bugatti, as the owner apparently loves animals.
What’s more, the sills feature the signatures of both Rembrandt and Jean Bugatti – the son of Ettore, described as ‘the creative force’ behind the Atlantic.
The best bit, though; the Chiron Super Sport ’57 One of One’ isn’t destined for a life cooped up in a garage.
It’s being driven, with its owner having enjoyed the Super Sport on the Bugatti Grand Tour in the US.
