A set of Dodge Demon 170 carbon fiber wheels will cost more than half of the price of the car

Ever since the last Dodge Demon 170 rolled off the production line, its value has increased.

It’s hardly surprising, considering its iconic status.

However, what’s less obvious is that the price of the Demon’s tires is soaring too.

In fact, a set of four wheels now costs over half the price of the car itself.

Many regard the Dodge Demon SRT 170 as one of the greatest performance cars ever made.

It set the record for the fastest-accelerating car in the world, beating the Rimac Nevera.

It can also do a quarter-mile in under nine seconds and produces a whopping 1,000 horsepower.

And it served as inspiration for one of the cars in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, solidifying its icon status.

Production of the Dodge Demon ceased in 2023, as Stellantis prepared to enter the EV market.

So naturally the car has become a legend, with a re-sale price tag to match.

People have been flipping their Demons and selling them for supercar money already.

But if anyone was hoping to add a set of carbon fiber wheels to theirs, they might think again.

It turns out dealers are charging an outrageous amount for the high-performance tires.

Back before it was sold out, the Demon came fitted with Nitto NT05R drag radial tires from the factory.

Those wanting to elevate their purchase could opt to switch these out for a set of carbon fiber tires.

At the time, all four would cost $11,495.

Now Dodge part sellers are asking for between $9,645 and $13,000 for a single wheel.

To buy a full set from Mopar today would set you back $50,412, before tax and shipping.

That’s more than half the original MSRP of $96,666.

Oh, and the center cap will cost extra.
