The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD features a window that lets you watch the rear suspension in action.
It is quite a unique concept as the feature allows automakers to show people how a car works.
Ford is using knowledge honed over decades of racing to build the ultimate track-focused Mustang.

The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD showcases the rear suspension in action-like jewelry with an in-cabin suspension window.
It features a state-of-the-art semi-active suspension at all four corners of the car.
With a pushrod-actuated rear end, that is used mainly in racing and hypercars.
Ford wants the car to complete a lap of the Nürburgring in less than seven minutes.
The Ford Mustang GTD is not just a race car but it is also being developed for use on the street.
For this, a suspension system was also needed to deliver stiffness on the race track and be soft on the roads.
So the automaker is relying on the advanced Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) rear shock absorbers.
This suspension system is also able to go from the softest to the firmest setting in just 15 milliseconds.
The passengers can watch the suspension in action from a lightweight polycarbonate window at the back.
“The rear suspension is designed for purpose, but it’s also just a beautiful thing to look at,” said Jim Owens, Mustang GTD marketing manager in a press release.
“It would have been a shame for us to hide it away never to be seen.
“With the suspension window, owners can admire the blue and gold accents on the dampers without removing the tech panel, and the passenger can literally watch the suspension in action,” he added.
The Ford Mustang GTD enters production later this year.
Unfortunately, interested buyers might have to wait a little as Ford has just ended the application process for North America.
According to the automaker, more than 7,500 individuals had applied for the 2025 and 2026 allocations of the Ford Mustang GTD.
