It’s already time for another Tesla Master Plan.

Elon Musk has released three of his ‘Master Plans’ so far.

He’s achieved many of the goals he laid out in the first two by now.

So after nearly mastering autonomous cars and leading the EV revolution, what does the next chapter hold for Tesla?

Elon Musk started releasing his aims for Tesla, also known as his ‘Master Plans’, back in 2006.

He has achieved most of the goals of the first few plans, such as developing Full-Self Driving (FSD) technology, creating a Tesla pickup, and building a sports car.

Now he’s penning his fourth set of goals, which many predict will be focused on robots and fully autonomous cars.

What has Elon Musk been cooking up?

Musk is one of the most ambitious people in the industry, so it’s no surprise he regularly pens grandiose plans for what he hopes to achieve.

His first plan was published in 2006 and included goals to build a sports car, produce two affordable cars, and provide zero-emission electric power generation options.

In the 18 years since, all four goals have been achieved, with the release of the Roaster, Model S and the even more affordable Model 3.

Tesla Energy was also formed, which produces solar panels and roof tiles.

In 2016 he released ‘Master Plan, Part Deux‘ announcing intentions to create solar roofs, expand the EV product line, develop self-driving cars, and launch a Robotaxi network.

Half of these have materialized, with solar roofs now available and Tesla’s product line including sedans, trucks, and semis.

Although the Autopilot and FSD features are impressive, completely autonomous cars haven’t been totally realized yet.

Tesla is making good headway on the Robotaxi side of things though, even announcing a launch date.

The third Master Plan was decidedly less exciting, mainly outlining the math of how the world could transition to sustainable energy.

The Tesla Master Plan Part 4 revealed

All we know about Musk’s fourth Tesla Master Plan so far is that it will be, in a word, ‘epic’.

Based on the direction Tesla has been headed in lately, we can make some educated guesses though.

The company is currently investing a lot in robotics, already deploying two Optimus robots to work in its factory.

By 2025, he predicts there will be over a thousand of these bots working in Tesla’s car manufacturing line.

This plan could also reveal more about the three new cars that will soon be added to Tesla’s lineup.

Musk has been working on FSD for years, regularly making predictions about when the technology to create fully autonomous cars will be ready.

“I know I’m the boy who cried FSD,” said Musk on Tesla’s second-quarter earnings call.

This combined with his determination to get Robotaxis off the ground means we could see some brand-new possibly-overly-ambitious predictions coming from Musk soon.

Other requests in Musk’s X comments include a Tesla phone, flying Teslas, and Starlink being launched on Mars.
