This is the 700-horsepower Porsche 935, an amazing car that’s also a trip down memory lane.

Or, even better, a trip on the nostalgia highway.

Unveiled in 2019 as a tribute to the original 935 from the 1970s, this is one of the rarest Porsches that money can buy.

This one – a 2020 model – is for sale, available from SBX Cars.

Production was limited to 77 units, and this is number 28 of that run.

It has (almost) never been driven, with just 37 miles (less than 60 km) on the clock.

Customers treat this as a collector’s car, and it’s easy to see why.

Porsche 935 is a tribute to the past

Even though it’s based on the 911, this car was never designed to be a widely produced and readily available sportscar.

From the start, it was designed as a rare track-going collectible for Porsche’s top clients.

This explains why – among other things – the car looks nearly identical to the original from 1976, apart from the LED taillights from the 919 Hybrid LMP1 race car and the side mirrors from the 911 RSR.

Based on the 911 992 GT2 RS, the engine is a 3.8-liter flat-six, with two turbochargers, delivering 700 horsepower.

A unique take on a classic

With the 935, Porsche wanted to create the best possible tribute car to an icon of the past.

Each 935 was designed following precise instructions given by their respective customer, and this means each of the 77 cars is different.

This one is finished in matte carbon and very nearly every element of the exterior and interior is also black.

The only exceptions are the wheels, which are painted red, a few dials and switches, also in red, and the gear shift knob, which is made from laminated wood.

Among other things, this 935 also features a titanium PDK shaft, bucket Recaro seats in Alcantara, forged BBS wheels, and a roll cage.

It’s a thing of beauty but also a seriously impressive machine.

The car is currently available from SBX Cars until July 17th.
