What makes this achievement even more amazing is that the car exceeded its initial expectations significantly.

The estimated top speed was around was 192mph; however, the car pushed its limits to an additional 41mph – bringing the top speed to 233mph.

That’s even faster than some of the most renowned supercars from the biggest automakers.

In fact, the Yangwang U9 can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in a mere 2.36 seconds, which is even quicker than the Bugatti Chiron.

That’s what gives it 1,300 horsepower and 1,239 ft-lbs of torque.

Car made on BYD e4 platform

It’s remarkable to see how, just a few years ago, manufacturing EVs was a major challenge for the automotive industry.

However, today, we’re witnessing incredible electric supercars that outperform traditional gas-powered cars.

Also popular by the name ‘dancing supercar,’ the Yangwang U9 is built on BYD’s e4 platform.

Simply put, the car is a perfect blend of speed, style, performance, and technology, and all that comes without reaching the exorbitant price tags of most supercars.

The EV market is growing at an exponential rate, with the Chinese automobile industry leading the charge.

Whether it’s electric supercars from BYD or pilotless flying taxis from EHang, China is setting the new standards for innovation.
