The new Volkswagen Passat Pro has introduced an infotainment touchscreen for the passenger.

The new model Passat Pro is a longer and more luxurious sedan than we’ve seen previously.

The car was produced in a joint venture between SAIC and Volkswagen – and features a sleeker look, redesigned tail, and plenty of cool techy bits inside.

The cabin of the Passat Pro is home to a trio of screens, including one right in front of the passenger seat. Fancy.

The new Volkswagen Passat Pro is crammed full of cool tech

Volkswagen aren’t the first marque to do this. The Lamborghini Temerario comes with a three-screen display, alongside the most advanced infotainment system the brand has ever launched.

In fact, Volkswagen recently appeared to be keen on dialing back the tech and reintroduced physical buttons to its cabins

However, the Passat Pro appears to be button-free, but that certainly doesn’t mean the dash is sparse.

Far from it.

Inside you’ll find a not-so-unusual 15 inch central infotainment touchscreen, as well as a 10.3 inch digital instrument cluster – and if that’s not quite enough screens for you, there’s also an 11.6 inch touchscreen for the front passenger to enjoy.

It also boasts a head-up display that makes use of augmented reality tech, an ambient lighting system with 30 different colors to choose from, a 16-speaker Hardmn Kardon sound system, and an in-car fragrance system.

Basically, it’s a bit like you’re in the cockpit of an aircraft – or even a spaceship.

The neat features don’t stop there

Can it get much fancier than that? I hear you ask.

Well, yes, actually – because the ‘cloud-feeling’ seats, which come with their own ventilation, have extra foam to make them more comfortable and also have heating and massage functions.

Alongside all of that, there’s a neat advanced driving assistant system that was developed by the drone-making company DJI.

The car is available in two trims – Pioneer Edition and Starry Sky Edition – as well as an optional Black Warrior kit that gives the Passat Pro a sportier appearance.

But there could be some bad news if you were hoping to get your hands on one, because the Passat Pro is only being released in China.

Sorry about that – looks like your passenger will have to make do with their phone.
