The man who converted Elvis Presley’s private jet into a road-legal RV took it to a McDonald’s drive-thru to see how it handled it.
Although the 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar private plane had once belonged to one of the most famous people to ever live it ended up rotting away in a desert for years.
However, it was given a new lease of life – and a whole new use – after it was bought by YouTuber James Webb.
The entire project, from an abandoned former plane to swish-looking RV, took Webb and his team just 18 months.

Webb said he knew buying the jet would be a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity and parted with $234,000 to get his hands on it.
Webb, who runs the Jimmy’s World YouTube channel, wanted to keep the plane as jet-like as possible.
“I didn’t want to mess it up or cut it, I wanted to keep it exactly the same as it was,” Webb told Supercar Blondie.
Fortunately, most of the plane’s interior was in pretty solid condition, meaning Webb was able to retain its retro charm and keep it looking more or less the same as when Elvis owned it.
With the project complete, Webb took it to the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024 to show it off.
But how does it cope with a trip to McDonald’s?
On a more recent adventure, he decided to take it to a McDonald’s drive-thru to see how that worked out.
Believe it or not, the RV didn’t do a bad job.
The RV’s super-size meant that Webb couldn’t get close enough to the speaker to make his order – three chocolate milkshakes if you’re interested.
But he was able to lean over and yell it to the woman at the window.
However, he was met with disappointment when she promptly informed him that there was no ice cream, so there would be no milkshakes. Ouch.
With milkshakes off the menu, Webb was able to park the RV and head into another nearby fast food joint to grab a bite to eat.
So, all in all, a successful trip for Webb and the RV – other than the milkshake disappointment, obviously.
