This AMC dealership in North Carolina is still home to more than 200 vehicles, including a cool collection of muscle cars.
Founded back in 1955 Collier Motors of Pikeville originally only sold AMC vehicles.
But in 1979 it was partially bought by Renault and began to sell older AMC models and some Jeeps.
Now, the dealership appears to have been largely abandoned and most of the vehicles you can see have been sat exposed to the elements since the 1980s.

The AMC dealership was packed with old cars
It’s hard to explain why but there’s something quite eerie about an abandoned car dealership, isn’t there?
We’ve previously seen a Peugeot showroom that had been abandoned; a former Saab dealership in France that was still full of old vehicles; and this Japanese dealership that time forgot.

And over in the US, YouTuber Stapleton42 took a trip to Collier Motors of Pikeville to check it out for himself.
The time capsule property is owned by Robbie Collier, who is tasked with managing his father’s estate, which includes the AMC dealership complete with original signage.
Collier Motors had been dubbed the ‘last surviving AMC dealership in the US’ but it seems to have been a long time since it was up and running as a full-time dealership.
Most of the cars are ripe for restoration
Nonetheless, in 2022, when Stapleton42 visited, Collier was hopeful that he could still sell the remaining cars.

As you’d imagine from an AMC dealership, there are plenty of AMC vehicles among the collection including some AMXs, Gremlins, and Javelins.
Alongside these, Collier says there are probably around a dozen AMC Pacers including a slightly more rare and exclusive Javelin Mark Donohue Edition.
Other highlights include a 1969 AMC Ambassador and a Nash that appeared in the movie The Marrying Man back in the 90s. Pretty cool, right?

Now, let’s be clear – after spending so much time outside and with very little maintenance in the last couple of decades the cars aren’t exactly in the best state.
But most of them do at least appear to be in one piece and would make an excellent restoration project for an AMC-lover.
