A modified 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse earned the title of 2024 world’s fastest Mustang – and boasts incredible HP.
It clocked an impressive 8.90 seconds at 251km/h (156mph) on the quarter mile, with relentless consistent sub-9-second runs.
It’s rumored to produce close to 1,000 horsepower at the wheels.

With a sleek, light blue exterior with drag radials, it blends street-legal stock looks with supercar-beating performance on the dragstrip.
In fact, it matches the performance of Dodge’s 1,025HP Demon 170 by running the quarter-mile in 8.91 seconds at 243km/h (151mph).
The modified S650 Mustang recently clocked an astounding 8.90 seconds in the quarter-mile.
It hits high speeds of a blistering 156 mph (251 kph)
While sadly the exact modifications and details of its upgrade haven’t been disclosed, the build highlights the potential of tuning to transform the Dark Horse into a drag-race contender.
It’s rumored to produce close to 1,000 horsepower at the wheels – double that of the stock model.

Other breathtaking quarter-mile records
The Lamborghini Huracán Performante set a new quarter-mile world record last year.
The 2,800whp Lambo does 0-97km/h (0-60mph) in just 1.5 seconds.
Meanwhile, the electric sedan Lucid Air Sapphire smashed the quarter mile in record time.
In fact, it snatched the title of quickest acceleration of any vehicle in production, leaving the previous title holder, the Tesla Model S Plaid, in the dust.
However, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 smashed a speed record and became the fastest US production car.
It reached 375km/h (233mph) while being driven by GM President Mark Reuss.
While a bulkier opponent, the Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast in Beast Mode broke a quarter-mile record.
The most powerful Cybertruck available can run the quarter mile in around 11 seconds, doing 0-97km/h (0-60mph) in just 2.6 seconds.
