You’ve heard of Cybertruck Beast Mode – now get ready for Boat Mode.
Elon Musk has just made a game-changing announcement on X.
There may soon be a ‘mod package’ that allows the Cybertruck to take on the waters.

Musk has a long history of making bold claims on his X account.
What’s wild is that he is also known to honor his word, like the time he added ‘dog mode’ to all Teslas because of a post on X.
So while his latest post is certainly out there, it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility.
This comes after an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage where he featured a Cybertruck.
In the video, Lars Moravy, Tesla’s vice president of vehicle engineering, pointed out something unique about the car.
“If you’re creative, and you want, you could figure out how to put an outboard motor, plugged into your outlet there, turn it on from your screen, and go boating,” he said.
He revealed that Musk had initially wanted to make the car more boat-like.
In fact, Musk made a post on X last year saying that he’d be making it water-worthy.
Even though these plans were seemingly scrapped, someone still decided to test it out, taking their Cybertruck for a seaside swim.
Now, Musk is back at the drawing board, finding a way to make his Cyberboat vision come to life.
He took to X to expand on Moravy’s comments.
Tesla will one day offer a mod package that will convert the truck into a boat – kind of.
The truck will be able to traverse at least 100m of water.
As always, Musk was pretty vague about what exactly this would entail.
“Mostly just need to upgrade cabin door seals,” he said.
The replies immediately filled up with concerns about the effects of salt water on the car.
While some people were excited, others were a little more skeptical.
“I didn’t want one before but now that I can have a CyberBoat… I am in!” one commenter said.
“Making it even more expensive. This will be great for the 10 people that own one,” another said.
