Shaquille O’Neal bought a Lucid Air and worked his Shaq magic to radically transform his car, thanks to West Coast Customs.
Shaq is a big guy, euphemism, which means he has a hard time fitting in the cabin of most cars.
The Lucid Air is no exception.
That’s why he decided to turn it into a coupe.

How West Coast Customs and Shaq turned the Lucid Air into a coupe
The Lucid Air isn’t a small car, it’s nearly two meters wide and five meters long.
Even reasonably tall people have no problem with headroom and legroom.
But Shaq is not ‘reasonably’ tall.
He’s seven-foot-one (2.16m), and he’s got arms that are longer than some people’s legs, so there’s no way he could fit in a Lucid Air.

Shaq turned to West Coast Customs, a tuning firm that first became famous thanks to Xzibit’s Pimp My Ride, to convert the four-door Lucid Air into a two-door coupe.
That sounds like a tough job but West Coast Customs is the same company that turned will.i.am’s Mercedes into a DeLorean and Mark Zuckerberg’s Porsche into a Cayenne Van, so it was probably a piece of cake for them.
Apart from the four-door to two-door conversion, West Coast Customs also changed the ‘Lucid’ logo at the front and replaced it with ‘Diesel’, one of Shaq’s nicknames.

Shaquille O’Neal and his car collection
Shaquille O’Neal has a sizable car collection that comprises well over 40 cars.
He’s got the world’s first carbon fiber Cybertruck, which Elon Musk apparently think “is nice”, and three Rolls-Royces he apparently never drives.
He also famously famously made a Ferrari 360 a few inches longer so he could drive it.
We’re not sure that’s the sort of thing Ferrari wants you to do with their cars, though.
