These guys bought an expensive abandoned storage unit sight unseen, and while they weren’t all that hopeful, a Chevy pickup truck hiding inside surprised them.
To make it more enticing, a YouTuber’s employee bought the unit without his boss knowing, so he could get into quite a lot of trouble.
That’s because their past experiences with abandoned storage containers weren’t really promising.
However, with a little luck on their side, they hit a jackpot — of sorts.

Man finds Chevy pickup truck in expensive abandoned storage unit
Hans from the YouTube channel HeavyDSparks paid a whopping $12,500 for this abandoned storage unit while keeping Dave, his boss, in the dark.
As they showed in a recent video, the YouTubers opened the unit for the first time without knowing what was in there.
Both of them were worried about not finding anything meaningful and losing money, but all that changed once they opened the shutter.

A utility truck — a Chevy C/K series from the 1990s — was parked just behind the shutter door.
Although it’s not so exquisite to cover what these guys paid for it, vehicles inside such units are generally a good sign.
In addition, this truck likely belonged to an electrical contractor because the entire unit was brimming with power tools and electrical equipment.
The truck also came with a work truck configuration that had a large toolbox on its bed and a trailer attached behind it.
What else was it hiding?

Further, the duo drove the truck outside to see what else the abandoned storage unit had to offer.
These guys found a bunch of power tools, including chainsaws, cut-off saws, generators, and drills.
A truckload of tools, such as drill bits, wires, and other industrial equipment, was certainly the cherry on top.
As tempting as it may seem, you’ll have to be extremely lucky to find valuables inside a mystery storage container.
Some people, however, have great luck on their side, just like this man who found a Rolex in a relatively cheaper unit.

Some cases can go to extremes, too, like the man who found a $1 million James Bond car inside a $150 container.
However, the vehicles inside such containers come with a set of problems.
In most cases, you’ll have to bury yourself in paperwork to get the title transferred to your name.
You also might not get to keep any vehicles at all, as these guys who found a muscle car inside a $962 container had to leave it as is.
Despite all that, it looked like these guys would get to keep the Chevy pickup truck, which would amount to great profit.
All in all, they got more than double the value in goods compared to the unit’s original cost.
