It became clear a while back that the Cybertruck would be more expensive than expected.
In fact, Elon Musk himself said it would be impossible to make it as cheap as predicted.
And then the truck was unveiled , and we learned what the (hefty) MSRP would be, and now that people are actually taking delivery of their vehicle, we know exactly what it costs.

And it’s not cheap.
Back in 2019, when the truck was first announced, Musk said it would start at just under $40,000.
However, now that it’s here, the truck costs twice as much – potentially even more if you go for the top of the line Cyberbeast.
The range-topping Cyberbeast start at $99,990, which is a lot of cash for a truck.
However, a Cybertruck owner explained, in detail, that the $100k price tag is just the start.
A Redditor who goes by tenfthigher shared the receipt of his Cybertruck on the platform and the price tag is massive.

His Cybertruck starts at $102,235 before taxes.
Then you’ve got sales tax, registration fees, license fees and a bunch of other fees for a grand total of $1,295.
When all is said and done, the Cybertruck will cost this owner $113,242.33.

It’s a lot of money and yet it isn’t the most expensive Cybertruck we’ve seen so far.
A few months ago, another Reddit user shared the final receipt of his Cybertruck and it came at $135,273.83.
That’s supercar money.
