A car enthusiast visited a Wisconsin junkyard and discovered a huge stash of more than 1,500 classic cars, including hundreds of muscle cars.

Elmer’s Auto Graveyard in Fountain City, Wisconsin, has been around for decades and is packed full of old cars.

Car lover and YouTuber Ryan Brutt visited the massive junkyard and was blown away by the number of vintage vehicles.

Tucked away amongst the rotting and rusting motors, there are a few rare hidden gems, including a Plymouth Satellite Sebring and a 1969 Dodge Super Bee.

The Wisconsin junkyard is jampacked with vintage vehicles

Brutt, from the Auto Archaeology YouTube channel, is no stranger to larger-than-average hauls of cars, having previously checked out this packed warehouse facility and this muscle car junkyard in Detroit

In a recent clip, Brutt visited Elmer’s Auto Graveyard in Fountain City and discovered more than 1,500 classics, with some dating back to the 1920s and 30s.

Sadly, most of the cars that feature in the clip are in a serious state of disrepair and would need a lot of work to get them road-worthy again.

But for those up for the challenge, Elmer’s Auto Graveyard has got some pretty cool and rare finds.

There’s some rare muscle cars and hidden gems

As Brutt takes a walk around the jampacked junkyard, he spots several interesting and rare muscle cars, including a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring ‘Sundance’.

Only 300 Sundance Edition Plymouth Satellites were ever made – 150 in Aztek Gold and 150 in Spinnaker White.

Somewhat incredibly, there were two of them sitting in the junkyard.

“This right here is a very unique Plymouth, it’s a 1973 Plymouth Sundance,” he said taking a closer look at the car.

“It has a really wacky yellow stripe down the side. They were all the same.”

Like many of the vehicles, the poor old Sundances had seen better days – as had the 1969 Dodge Super Bee that Brutt spotted parked up beside them.

But despite their worse-for-wear condition, Brutt was blown away by the sheer number of muscle cars stored at the yard.

“Very few places have a ton of these muscle cars sitting like this,” he noted.

“Elmer’s is definitely a more far-reaching yard with tons of Chevelles, Cutlasses, and Mustangs.”
