This YouTuber bought the world’s smallest car on Facebook Marketplace for a Florida road trip and managed to fill up the tank for an unbelievably low cost.

The content creator revealed he paid just $11,250 for the comically tiny 1958 BMW Isetta.

The good news continued when he realized how little it would cost him to fill the tank up with gas.

Unfortunately, that was where the good news ended, because he quickly noticed some pretty big faults with the tiny car.

Finding the world’s smallest car on Facebook Marketplace

Here at Supercar Blondie, we love a comedically tiny car and there’s no tiny car quite like the BMW Isetta, which was the inspiration for the Microlino.

YouTuber Westen Champlin was over the moon when he found the 1958 BMW Isetta for only $11,250.

Not only did he negotiate the price down, but he also got a trailer thrown in as part of the deal.

The Isseta has a 30cc engine and a 4-speed transmission, where first gear is in a different position to a normal car, somehow the car also fits two seats which seems impossible considering its miniscule size.

Westen’s plan was to use the BMW Isetta to take a road trip to the beach in Florida, despite tornado warnings.

A road trip to Florida

When Westen set off on his travels to the beach in Florida, the car was extremely loud and challenging to drive.

Even though it claimed to be able to reach top speeds of 50mph, it could barely reach 46mph.

As he drove, the car not only started to leak fuel, but it was also missing an air filter, making it extremely unreliable.

It also required a push to start.

Even though he had a win with filling up the whole tank for only $8, with the fuel leaking constantly, the BMW Isetta could not be described as fuel efficient.

Westen had to end his road trip prematurely when the Isetta ran out of gas and the transmission broke down, ultimately needing to be rescued.

Despite the disappointing end, his journey in his Facebook Marketplace BMW Isetta created a lot of laughs along the way.
