The magnificent filmmaker is no stranger to the water – not just through creating Jaws, but because he often sets sail on the Seven Seas.
That’s his new 358-foot ship worth $250 million, and with its delivery, Spielberg had a touch of human class that shows not all multimillionaires disconnect from reality.

The brain behind Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Back to the Future – that beloved DeLorean – and many more, deserves a break now and again.
Despite having 21 projects in the pipeline, including Jurassic Park: Rebirth, and Napoleon, Spielberg has recently taken the order of a colossal yacht that rivals celebs like Beyonce and Jay-Z.
The 358-foot ship, worth $250 million and made by Oceanco, named Seven Seas, is his second superyacht, though.
To make space for the gargantuan boat, he sold his previous yacht – also called Seven Seas – until it was renamed Man of Steel by its new owner Barry Zekelman.
But Spielberg didn’t just hand off the first Seven Seas without a second thought. He’d grown fond of the crew.
According to TheYachtReport, the iconic filmmaker re-hired the same 30-person crew to handle the bigger yacht, making sure no staff member was left behind.
A true sailor.
It won’t be an easy task to keep the boat in pristine condition, given the luxuriance of features onboard, such as two pools, a gym, a spa, a beach club, a helipad, and, of course, a cinema room.
Still, he must trust the company that he’d sailed with before to continue running this massive vessel.
Hopefully, Spielberg will be able to get aboard and watch his own impressive portfolio of films. Unlike Bill Gates, who is selling his $645M hydrogen-powered superyacht without stepping on it.
