The student tracking the private jet of Taylor Swift has hit back after the music star threatened to sue him.
He has now claimed in response that the the pop star is providing “contradicting information”.
Using bots, Jack Sweeney posts publicly available data on the activity of planes belonging to the rich and famous.

It was a 13-minute jaunt aboard her ‘Number 13’ private jet that was labelled “disgusting” by those following Sweeney’s account.
In response, the Federal Aviation Authority’s website has revealed that Swift parted ways with the private jet at the end of last month.
She handed over the reins to Missouri-based car insurance company, Car Shield for $40 million.
However, Swift’s lawyers claim that this tracking amounts to “stalking”.
As such, the Cruel Summer singer’s legal team issued a cease-and-desist letter to the 21 year old.
Issued in December, the letter’s contents have been reported by US media.
The letter demands that he stop sharing the location of her private jet.
It’s claimed the information poses “an imminent threat to the safety and wellbeing” of Swift, calling it a “life-or-death matter” for her.
It cites stalkers Swift has dealt with, saying the data gives criminals “a roadmap to carry out their plans”.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on stalking charges outside the singer’s home only last month.
The US media was told by a spokeswoman for Taylor Swift that the posts about her private jet activity were, in part, responsible.
“We cannot comment on any ongoing police investigation but can confirm the timing of stalkers suggests a connection,” said spokeswoman, Tree Paine.
“His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be.”
Sweeney, however, refutes that being his intention.
“Nowhere do I intend for harm,” the University of Central Florida student said in a statement to the BBC.
“I actually think Swift has some good songs. I believe in transparency and public information, ” he said.
Mr Sweeney’s posts do not reveal who is traveling on the aircraft or where those onboard go after landing.
He added that it wasn’t until media outlets began scrutinising Swift’s carbon footprint that he received the threatening letter.
Her travel plans have received more attention during her ongoing tour.
On Sunday, she will fly to Las Vegas to see her boyfriend play in the NFL Super Bowl.
That’s the day after she performs in Tokyo.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur has previously claimed he tracks and shares carbon emission information with the goal of “transparency and public information”.
His @taylorswiftjets account was suspended by Meta platforms including Instagram, Threads, and Facebook.
What’s more, in 2022, X banned Mr Sweeney after Elon Musk claimed he had shared his “assassination coordinates”.
But it’s not just Sweeney keeping tabs on the singer.
In 2022, Swift topped the list of celebrities with the highest private jet CO2 emissions, according to digital marketing firm, Yard.
The organisation found that her jet emissions were about 1,185 times more than the average person.
