The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is using artificial rain to combat hot weather and water scarcity in Dubai.

It seems that man is finally playing God and trying to manipulate the weather into doing its bidding.

The Gulf country is experimenting with cloud seeding to create rainfall and help combat its incredibly high temperatures.

The UAE is an arid region that experiences very little annual rainfall.

Adding to that, the high temperatures make the scorching heat unbearable.

In the summer of 2023, the temperature even hit 50°C (122°F).

To combat this hot climate, the country has been working on a cloud-seeding program to bring artificial rain to Dubai.

Speaking of climate, Saudi Arabia also plans to introduce a diverse climate, within their newly planned city within the Neom giga-project, The Line.

In the video, we can see the Dubai skyscrapers being hit with artificial rain to provide the perfect weather.

Cloud-seeding doesn’t necessarily create clouds out of thin air – although, there are methods for that, too.

UAE’s process involves shooting hygroscopic salt flares and other small minerals into pre-existing clouds.

Scientists are also utilizing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to disperse the seeding materials for the artificial rain.

The country has been working on this cloud-seeding program since way back in the 1990s.

Since then, the UAE has collaborated with NASA to study artificial rain and how to trigger it.

The UAE’s meteorological experts are also expected to carry out as many as 300 cloud-seeding missions in 2024.

Let’s just hope that these artificial rainfalls can help to mitigate the effects of climate change and create an even better living environment in the UAE.
