It seems the flying car trend has quite long legs, as even Aston Martin has come up with the Volante Vision concept, which looks like a sports car of the skies.
The British luxury automaker unveiled the Volante Vision flying concept car for the first time in 2018.
Like many other flying cars, the Volante Vision concept car utilizes vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) technology.

According to the concept, the flying car features hybrid-electric power and is capable of autonomous flight.
Although the car may not look like an Aston Martin, it still looks very cool.
The Aston Martin Volante Vision concept car looks like a next-generation fighter jet with a crazy Formula 1 front wing.
Even the interior of the car is what you would expect from a luxury car manufacturer.

The sports car maker is not alone in this venture.
The automaker has partnered with Cranfield University, Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, and Rolls-Royce (the aero-engine manufacturer, not the automaker).
According to the company, the Volante Vision will take full advantage of the latest advances in aerospace, electric propulsion, autonomous technologies, and Aston Martin’s signature design.
Flying cars are not just a dream anymore and are becoming more of a reality with each passing day.
As we head into 2024, it should be noted that many flying cars are set to take flight this year.

The luxury brand is no stranger to trying out something different from usual.
Also, the automaker has even built its own exclusive residences in downtown Miami.
“The Volante Vision Concept will enable us to travel further with our hourly commute, meaning we are able to live further away from where we work. Cities will grow, and towns that are today too far away from cities to be commutable will become suburban,” Dr. Andy Palmer, former CEO of Aston Martin, said.
Hopefully, we will get to see a real Aston Martin Volante Vision flying car soon. Till then, take a look at Xpeng’s first flying car.
