Man drove home in completely wrong car from Tesla dealer due to bizarre mix-up

Imagine the excitement of picking up your brand new Tesla Cybertruck, only to drive home in the wrong vehicle.

This might sound like an unbelievable mix-up, especially when we are talking about a brand as big as Tesla.

The comical mishap happened to Vikas Parikh, an IT executive from Houston, Texas in the US.

Man drove back home in wrong Cybertruck from dealership

A few days ago, Vikas visited the Tesla delivery center in Houston to pick up his Tesla Cybertruck.

But due to some technical issues with the passenger seat, the delivery wasn’t possible.

That meant he had to go home without his new vehicle.

Days later, he returned to the store, but the delivery of his new electric pickup wasn’t scheduled for that day.

However, the store allowed Vikas to take his new Cybertruck home, presumably after resolving the initial issue with the passenger seat.

But, the shock came when Vikas discovered that the vehicle he was driving had a different Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) than his own.

While past complaints about Cybertruck issues, such as rusting problems, have raised eyebrows, the mix-up that led Vikas to drive home in the wrong vehicle is like a scene from a comedy sitcom.

Tesla Cybertruck and its unique abilities

Despite the unfortunate mishap, Vikas has chosen one of the prestigious trucks on the pickup market.

Despite its heavy and robust appearance, Cybertruck can put most cars to shame with its performance.

With its robust 800 horsepower, this electric pickup from Tesla can accelerate from 97 km/h (60 mph) in just 2.9 seconds.

The impressive torque of 1000 ft-lbs makes it a perfect ride for challenging routes, too.

And, with 500 miles of range on a single charge, it is perfectly suited for long routes despite being fully electric.

So Vikas’ Cybertruck might have taken longer than usual to be delivered, but its supreme capabilities and advanced features like drive-by-wire, make it well worth the wait.
